It is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week – the annual celebration of the medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in health care and patient advocacy. This year, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, lab professionals around the world have been working extremely hard and deserve special recognition.
What is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week?
Lab professionals play a critical role in the diagnostics testing they perform every day. A collaborative committee of 17 medical organizations help coordinate the celebration to increase public understanding of and appreciation for clinical laboratory personnel.

At BioReference, we celebrate our employees year round by highlighting some of our MVPs once per month. This week, we are pleased to celebrate all our lab heroes who are working around the clock and exhibiting the type of rare dedication that is needed to help put an end to the COVID-19 crisis.
